Step inside Buffalo Bill’s House, the original filming location of the 5-time Academy Award-winning masterpiece The Silence of the Lambs. Walk in the footsteps of FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) and the chilling serial killer Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine) on an immersive guided tour unlike any other. Join owner Chris Rowan for a 2-hour guided tour of the 1910 Queen Anne Victorian home, filled with rare stories, filming secrets, and rich history dating back to the late 1800s.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH THE TOUR?
- The foyer where Buffalo Bill lures Clarice.
- A movie break to watch the scenes filmed at Buffalo Bill’s House.
- The dining room where Clarice encounters the Death’s-Head moth while Buffalo Bill is searching for a business card and Clarice then draws her gun.
- The kitchen and basement stairs where the chase unfolds.
- Take photos in the front doorway, just like Buffalo Bill or Clarice Starling!
- Try on a replica FBI badge and green wool jacket to cosplay as Clarice Starling.
- Original production blueprints of the house, well, & Hannibal’s cage
- On display are call sheets, the location agreement, and screen-used wallpaper from the kitchen and foyer.
- Settle in for a second movie break and enjoy a special surprise: rare behind-the-scenes footage captured on handheld VHS.
- Explore the basement workshop with mannequins, a vintage sewing machine, and a disco ball.
- Try on a robe and wig and cosplay as Buffalo Bill and dance to “Goodbye Horses” in the basement.
- Try on long johns and a wig and cosplay as Catherine Martin holding a Precious plush in the well.
- A chance to step into our interactive well set, built in collaboration with legendary special effects makeup artist, actor, stunt performer, and film director Tom Savini. Known for his groundbreaking work in horror cinema, Savini’s involvement ensures authenticity – and the chance to take a photo that looks like it came straight off a film set. This set piece not only honors the legacy of practical effects in horror filmmaking but also gives guests a tangible way to connect with the genre they love

WHAT OTHER EVENTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Past events have included actress Brooke Smith (Catherine Martin from The Silence of the lambs) returning to Buffalo Bill’s House for the 2nd time since filming wrapped in 1990 for autographs/photo ops in the well, a guided tour with Brooke and our first Outdoor Movie Screening with a LIVE Q&A with Brooke Smith.
We also had our first-ever ghost hunting event “The Spirit of Buffalo Bill: An experiment in Paranormal Profiling”, hosted by famed paranormal researcher, Brian J. Cano (Featured on Travel channel’s Paranormal Caught on Camera).
We’ve got incredible plans on the horizon. These future events will be announced to our mailing list.
CAN I HAVE A PRIVATE LARGE GROUP TOUR OR EVENT AT BUFFALO BILL'S HOUSE?
If you have a group of 10 or more that would like a private tour or event at the house, please submit a request by entering your information here or calling 1.833.283.3285. Our ability to service these requests will be based on the availability of the house, as it’s primarily a vacation rental.
IS THERE A GIFT SHOP?
